Monkey is the animal that is frequently met in tropical and subtropical zones of our world. Their body is covered with hair. In fact according to scientific theory of Darwin evolution started with monkeys.
Monkey was usually depicted as animal always funny and joyful. Monkeys are animals that are restless and you can hardly find the monkey that would sit straight doing nothing.
Another not less popular belief is that monkey likes bananas. Well this belief is true, and these animals really like bananas. They have well-developed senses and their eyesight, ear, sense of smell and physical adroitness are more developed than senses and other abilities of people.
Animals may live in different parts of the world. Tropics and subtropics are the places where there are a lot of monkeys. But some species of monkeys live in cold zones and in mountains. And the general look of monkeys also differs in dependence on the zone of their living.
The smallest monkeys of the world live in Brazil and have the height only 15 centimetres, while the biggest monkey has 30 centimetres.
Despite the difference in general look of many primates, all monkeys have a great number of similar features that allows dividing them in several groups.
The majority of primates eat insects, crustaceans, and the eggs of birds. Sometimes they also taste fruits, leaves, beads and grass. The preferences of these animals depend on the certain species of monkeys.
